ART FOR HEALING
In 1998 she created “Arts at the
Center,” an art for healing class at the Whittingham Cancer Center
at Norwalk Hospital and also one at The Center for Hope in Darien,
Ct.
After five years of using the visual arts
to empower people living with cancer, multiple sclerosis, and
loss, she passed the program to other professionals.
She
is available for retreats, creativity, and special population
workshops on request. “Introducing
art into someone’s life can provide self-esteem and spiritual
growth. The experience of creativity can enhance an overall sense
of physical and mental well-being, which, in turn, benefits the
healing process.” (Quoted - The Norwalk
Hour, 1998). (see articles.)
